Vaxius

The Vaxius print is the first in the Laetus series. Laetus is a Latin word meaning joy, which I found a fitting description for the sense I had when making these prints. This series marks a breakthrough in my digital printmaking practice when I began to master the techniques of layering, adjusting and controlling the matrix. I enjoyed creating each of the 9 layers and color combinations, meddling with different effects, and experienced this sense of being completely consumed by and involved in the creative process.
